Something I Used to Believe, but Now Don't

I used to believe that if I tried hard, I could be perfect.

When I was younger, I wanted every task to be flawless. If my homework had some small errors, or I failed to do something, I felt upset and frustrated. I thought perfection was the only standard for success, and I could do everything without any weaknesses.

As time went by, my opinion changed. Gradually, I realized no one can be truly flawless. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, everyone fails, and everyone has some weak points. It is okay to have some small imperfections.

Now I no longer chase perfection. Instead, I’ve learned to accept myself. I accept failures and flaws.
